SUMMARY. Prepares and reviews case histories and clinical records.  Evaluate and manage health conditions for people of all ages. Manage medical problems or other health-related conditions that cause pain, limit ability to move, and limit the performance of functional activities. Help prevent health conditions through prevention, restoration of function and through fitness and wellness programs that achieve healthy and active lifestyles.

QUALIFICATIONS.

Knowledge. Interprets test results and evaluates examination findings.  Prescribe treatment, including x-ray therapy, physical therapy, and medication.  Coordinates physical therapy services with other medical activities. 

Education. All personnel shall have a degree from a accredited Physical Therapy School.  The physical therapist must have passed the National Physical Therapy Examination after graduating from an accredited program.  May have been trained in a branch of military and been honorably discharged.

Training.  Shall  have a minimum of one (1) year of experience, within the past three years, working as a Physical Therapist.

 

Experience.  Experience with the assessment and treatment of patients with traumatic brain injury, to include working with cognitive re-training, safety training, balance training, high level balance training, core stability, postural training, coordination training, re-training sensory-motor functions, sensory integration, mobility (beds, transfers, ambulation) use of assistive device, ADLs.  PT shall have a degree from an accredited physical therapy program
