PR & Events Manager - New York

Opportunity to join one of the leading adult beverage companies in the U.S. This company has one of the fasting growing product portfolios in the industry and it includes a category leading product.Our client is seeking an independent and strategic thinker to seek out PR and placement opportunities for the brand portfolio. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of PR or event management experience and possess strong media relations with lifestyle, fashion and pop culture publications as well as contacts with celebrity publicists and manager. The PR & Events Manager will be responsible for the following: 1. Manage outside PR agency. 2. Organize, plan and execute all special events 4. Publicize special events with short lead media and long lead where appropriate 5. Research, write and distribute press releases 7. Create, manage and track editorial contacts, VIPs and influencer database 8. Meet and contact editors to establish relationships for brand, pitch story ideas. 9. Create and initiate pitches to generate media coverage in all media-long/short lead print, broadcast, on-line. 10. Network to leverage brand in various opportunities and with VIPs, influencers, celebrities
