QUALIFICATIONS:Position requires a Bachelor of Science Degree with, mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering preferable, including business courses, plus 3 to 5 years quality assurance experience including ISO requirements, preferably in a plastics environment; or a combination of education and experience.ASQ certification (CQE or CQA) is a plus.Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, designs, method and procedure manuals, production standards, safety and environmental rules and regulations, technical procedures, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to write technical reports, methods and procedure documentation. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from vendors, managers and supervisors and other employees of the organization.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standards exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, graph, diagram or schedule formAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to compute ratios, percentages and apply advanced statistical methods of calculation to estimate values and value ranges.Ability to communicate effectively upon relationships between variables, statistical concepts (process control charting), process and performance capability, and design of experiments.Requires good mechanical and math aptitude, good problem solving, hands-on troubleshooting, communication, team building and interpersonal skills. Requires the ability to operate a variety of tools and devices such as calipers, plug gauges, tape measures, and other measuring equipment. Requires the ability to operate standard computer software and a variety of standard office equipment including fax and copy machines, calculators and telephones.
