Manager, Energy Trading & Financial Instruments (5365) Responsibilities:Lead and direct all activities related to taxation of energy marketing and trading, including: FAS 109 tax accounting; external reporting requirements (SEC); internal reporting requirements, including budgets and forecasts; internal process creation and securing contemporaneous documentation to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations related to financial instruments; federal, state and foreign tax planning and analysis of complex transactions, new business development, and structuring; and intercompany teamwork and relationships with internal customers and peers. Qualifications:Advanced degree: Master of Tax, MBA, JD, LLM or equivalent required as is 8+ years’ experience in tax demonstrating success in progressive positions of responsibility. Must have a current CPA license/certificate and strong tax technical knowledge and skills. Energy marketing and trading experience (particularly financial derivatives) highly preferred. Must also have the ability to identify processes suited for automation, and guide transition from manual spreadsheets, while maintaining strong SOX control focus; familiarity and comfort using a broad range of systems and applications.
