Internal Desk Manager - Broker/Dealer

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

 

 Supervise internal wholesalers and the internal sales desk, assuring appropriate levels of knowledge, service and activity.



Ensure internals work closely with their respective wholesalers to increase sales and corresponding territory ranking

 

Lead by example actively participating in out going calls to generate sales Set expectations, implement activity standards and monitor call activity, including inbound, outbound and campaign-focused calls. 



 Work with National Sales Manager to design and implement sales campaigns and evaluate internal wholesalers.



Train internal wholesalers (including weekly sales meetings, presentations, one-on-one phone training on the desk, development of selling skills improvement and field travel as necessary) in order to improve their professionalism and effectiveness.



Coordinate and execute weekly internal sales meetings.

Assist National Sales Manager and Key Accounts in the completion of key account related material.



Work with the IT department to improve and implement new technology, including CRM system (MARS) and telephone system. 

 

 Assuring that internal wholesaler activities support the objectives set by the sales company.

Screening, interviewing and hiring of internal wholesalers.



Minimum Requirements

Bachelor degree (MBA a plus).

Series 6 or 7 license, 24 or 26.

Prefer 5+ years asset management experience, preferably as an internal wholesaler or sales desk manager.

Field experience a plus

Beneficial Skills and Abilities 

Knowledge of the mutual fund industry, broker/dealer and investment advisor community necessary

Excellent presentation and public speaking skills required. 

Experience selling or marketing investment products 

Strong leadership skills
