IT jobs USA: Sr. Software QA Engineer
Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer with proven leadership and automation skills to work with the engineering and quality teams to build system-level test automation and execute automated and manual tests. You will be responsible for testing the performance, reliability, scalability, and functionality of Network Management systems and applications. We are looking for candidates that have the motivation and capability to move at a startup pace, design and develop first class testing solutions and automation to produce quality solutions.
About the Team
The System Quality Assurance group is responsible for extensive testing across all the technologies developed in Engineering. This group is knowledgeable about all these technologies and focuses on real-world, end-to-end testing to ensure all systems integrate well. In addition, this group works on automated testing infrastructure and systematic test case tracking to increase efficiency within the quality assurance process.
Responsibilities
*Implement in-depth understanding of SQA life-cycle from functional requirements gathering to the design and execution of automated and manual system level tests *Design UI framework for automated; includes developing scripts to enhance regression testing *Perform and participate in all aspects of verification including requirements gathering, feature and functional testing, unit testing, regression, load and performance testing *Create and apply new approaches and concepts to improve the productivity and efficiency of testing practices *Develop creative and competent analysis to identify root causes of technical problems while developing resolutions *Design, develop, and deploy automated system tests to replicate real-world scenarios
Skills Basic Qualifications
* Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
* Overall Experience: 5-7+ years or equivalent experience *3+ years experience developing scripts and test for UI automation, Selenium or similar products
* 3+ year(s) of experience with testing large scale, distributed network systems
* 3+ year(s) of technical working experience with UNIX/Linux OS environments and HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP
Desired Qualifications
*Programming experience (C/C++, Perl, Shell scripting) required *Strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skills *Excellent oral and written communication skills required *SharePoint application platform experience
