Human Resources Representative

Plans and administers policies relating to all phases of Human Resources activity by performing duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Keeps records of hires, terminations, benefits, performance reviews, and employee statistics for government reporting. Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positions. Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positions. Plans and conducts new employee orientation toward company goals. Keeps records of benefits plans, personnel transactions, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting. Coordinates management training in performance review, safety, and policies. Advises in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues. Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs. Administers benefits programs and employee assistance. Conducts wage surveys within labor market. Prepares employee separation notices, related documentation and conducts exit interviews. Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations. Payroll responsibility for all employees. Coordinates Safety Committee meeting and testing as required under safety policy. Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier.Must have strong interpersonal, writing and communication skills. Must have knowledge of State and Federal laws pertaining to human resources and payroll.Familiarity with standard PC-based applications (Microsoft Word, Excel Spreadsheets, Outlook, etc.)Bachelors' Degree in Human Resources or Accounting preferred - minimum of an Associate's Degree. At least three years work experience in the human resource role. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
