Human Resources Manager-North Of Boston, MA
Description:
The Human Resources Manager will provide HR leadership and support to assigned business units. He/she will partner with senior leadership in addressing the varied HR-related needs including: consulting on a wide variety of HR issues, executing HR programs that will best develop and utilize HR practices and processes, and coaching/developing managers and employees thru staff planning, employee relations, organizational design and development and training.
Responsibilities:
· Provide HR business partnership to Engineering directors and their leaders. Lead the Performance Development, Compensation and rewards processes for the Engineering Directorates supported. Drive HR policy, process and practice to ensure effective execution and compliance.
· Responsible for evaluating new and existing Engineering teams, determining applicable HR strategies, identifying appropriate team and individual learning strategies, and executing for team success. Also responsible for managing the on-boarding process for new employees and leading new leader assimilation sessions.
· Maximize organizational capability by leading efforts to acquire and develop best talent in support of business growth plans and build strong succession and bench strength, including talent reviews and the Human Resources Review process.
· Responsible for leading a small team of generalist/specialist resources in a manner that recognizes the interdependencies of the functions.
· Develop successful relationships and collaborate with a diverse client base, team, and HR functional partners in support of people program deliverables.
· Lead and participate in HR projects that will support business and HR initiatives.
· Travel 5% time out of area.
Experience:
Master’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Labor Relations or other related field.Experience as an HR strategic business partner with demonstrated success driving business results.Ability to influence and manage change, with an ability to work with all levels of the organization and in a team environment.Experience and understanding of performance management systems, including compensation and rewards systems. Strong communication skills; written, oral and listening skills.Ability to think logically with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Able to work effectively in a highly matrixed environment.Experience in handling multiple projects and the ability to lead projects.Command of HRMS, HREIS and Microsoft Office applications especially Excel and Access.
