HR Business Partner North Shore, MA

Description:

The HR Business Partner will lead HR contributions including the delivery of recruiting and staffing, new business development, performance management, learning & development, and employer branding. The Human Resources Business Partner will also ensure competitive employee benefits and salary programs, as well as provide sound employee relations advice and counsel to both management and employees throughout the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:Manage recruitment activity to agreed service levels, costs and standards within the defined recruitment strategy. Identify potential issues and actions, providing guidance and support to managers allowing them to effectively own and manage individual situations themselves, and on a pre-emptive basis. Organize and conduct monthly 1-1 meetings with managers. (More often where managers are inexperienced, require greater support or during times of change)Provide expert advice for HR related projects and initiatives ensuring that all changes comply with legislation and company ethics. Assist newly appointed and promoted managers in understanding their roles and responsibilities. Review the monthly sickness and absence reports identifying patterns areas of concern and unacceptable absence levels. Support managers in interpretation/application of company policies including those governing disciplinary, attendance, grievance, discrimination, harassment and health & safety. Support the development and delivery of training initiatives, in conjunction with the Learning and Development department. Organize and facilitate bi-annual Talent Audit and succession planning workshops for each Department.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

 

·  BS/BA degree required. (Advanced degree in business administration (MBA) or related field preferred.)

·  Demonstrated success as an HR generalist supporting employee groups of 100+ employees.

Ability to establish a strong rapport and professional credibility with individuals at all levels of the organization

·  Ability to articulate and discuss complex or controversial HR matters in order to gain managerial support.

·  Generalist background with employee relations, staffing, compensation and benefits, and organizational development experience.

·  High energy level, inspirational, self-motivated, with winning mindset.

·  Excellent written and oral communication skills.

·  Demonstrated ability to work, manage, and meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
