Location: New York, NY 10001Your location:home   »  find a job   »  advanced search   »  job description Apply Online Send this Job to a Friend A $1.3 billion, publicly traded, global solutions firm seeks a Financial Analyst to join their FP&A group in their Midtown, NYC office.  This is a critical role within the organization and will be instrumental given the companies planned growth for 2007.  The FP&A function works as a business partner to deliver quality financial analysis and modeling, enabling upper management to make informed decisions. The position requires both sound technical skills (data manipulation, Hyperion reporting, and modeling) as well as strong inter-personal skills, in dealings with cross-functional colleagues and the senior executive team.Responsibilities: Interact with executive management to understand the business and identify drivers to positively improve the P&L. Manipulation and analysis of various data sources (Hyperion, PeopleSoft) to produce concise and easy to understand reports. Work with Manager/Director to establish and produce monthly executive reporting packs, high-level reconciliations, variance analysis and commentary. Direct FP&A responsibility over 1-2 business groups, including modeling and presenting recommendations. Preparation, review and presentation of budgets and forecasts (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow indicators). Research any potential variances and/or potential discrepancies. Conduct ratio and trend analysis. Develop advanced Hyperion functions. Partner with other Finance functions to establish effective reporting, intelligence and metrics tools. Ad hoc analysis projects, as required.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. 2-5 years of experience.
