ENGINEERING MANAGER
The Organization
Our Client manufactures, rents, and leases a comprehensive range of
technologically advanced mechanical impact tools for open-hole and cased-hole wireline
operations. The jars allow for more efficient and safer operations in even the harshest
environments by virtually eliminating the risk of a stuck string and the staggering costs
associated with stripovers, fishing, and rig downtime.
The Role
The position of Engineering Manager, reports to the VP and COO. The Engineering
Manager will be responsible for leading an internal engineering department as a way of
pursuing the goals and objectives of the company. The position will be focused on
developing new tool offerings and improving our current offerings.
In addition, the Engineering Manager will manage all engineering projects including
writing test and qualification plans, designing prototype tools for verification testing and
design approval, and looking to the leading edge for new areas for Downhole tool
offerings.
Candidate Specifications
The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills and a proven track
record of successfully managing an engineering department.
He/she will be a polished, accomplished executive with a proven track record of building
and nurturing strong relationships at all levels.
CAREER EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 10 years career experience in the oil and gas industry. Downhole
tool design experience preferred.
• Positive track record of taking design projects from start to finish.
• History of positive direct interaction and extensive contacts in the oil and gas
industry.

• Use Solid Works as the engineering software program.
• Able to produce component level manufacturing drawings and assembly
drawings.

• Work to create brand recognition and raise company visibility at senior
