Embedded Software Engineer (ID # 26039)
Project Details:- This position is for a Software Engineer to work in product design, development and support of Motorola's 802.11 wireless client software, drivers, and firmware. - Engineer in this position will work on a wide variety of tasks of high complexity covering the full spectrum of product development activities.Responsibilities :- Design and develop highly complex 802.11 WLAN client middleware, driver and firmware - Investigate and resolve complex problems on existing releases and implement new features for new releases - Collaborate with the development team and the test teams to deliver high quality WLAN client solutions - Contribute to Fusion collateral and training materials like user documentation, test plans, Developers kit and design specificationsQualification / Experience Requirement - Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent - 1 to 5 years experience in software design and analysis as applied to middleware or driver/firmware for embedded systems - Exposure to Windows CE / Windows Mobile based systems is preferred. Mastery of the C programming language and deep understanding of embedded systems debugging techniques is required. - Direct experience in use of a variety of Software Engineering methodologies, Windows based development and debugging platforms is expected. - Excellent task planning and time management skills are required. - Knowledge of current networking protocols and 802.11 protocol specifications is preferred.
