Environmental Markets Trader (5191) Qualifications:Work with the Desk Head with initial set-up of function, establishment of market presence in emerging US voluntary and mandatory markets as they develop. Establish internal systems, controls, and contracts for GHG/Carbon-related activity and purchases/sales of Carbon Credits and/or Successor Products (Credits) in the short-term, intermediate and long-term markets as they develop. Monitor variables that influence pricing, availability of resources, ability to generate/obtain/convey Credits. Develop contact network of potential buyers, sellers, traders to maximize trading profits/savings. Execute bilateral and OTC transactions to eventually include options and swaps as well as asset Credits. Develop/structure products/services for purchases/sales Credits, possibly including complex cross-region Credits and commodity-linked transactions involving fuels/power. Track price discovery data in order to develop forward pricing curves. Evaluate/interpret market conditions. Use financial tools as a service for customers and internal hedging. Sell/buy/trades off energy assets as markets develop. Work in conjunction with REC desk to ensure seamless and appropriate synergy's in desk functions and maximization of potential cross-trading/arbitrage between Credits and RECs. Work in conjunction with the Asset Management function and Regulatory/Legal in order to support and influence political and regulatory actions related to GHG/Carbon in a manner Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a Business discipline requited and at least 5 years experience in trading financial and/or physical energy commodities (power, gas, oil, REC’s, emissions etc.). Must also have a strong knowledge of emerging energy markets, relevant energy trading software and possess excellent communications skills Salary:  $85,000 - $125,000 (plus bonus and relocation) MRINetwork, one of the world's largest search and recruitment organizations, has over 1,000 offices in more than 35 countries.
