Apply online or e-mail resume to Sherri Correll - [email address removed].A Data Modeler has the responsibility of defining and specifying data models and mappings for all data used within the enterprise, both internally and externally. The Data Modeler is responsible for gathering, understanding, modeling, documenting and communicating data requirements necessary to perform business processes. The Data Modeler participates in the design and implementation of company databases for all enterprise-level applications and reporting and analytic needs. The designs should ensure high-data quality and reduced data redundancy. This is a full-time employee position in Allegis Group’s Information Services Department. Essential Role Responsibilities- Work with product development and support staff to document, categorize and classify information used by our various business systems. - Create and maintain custom and vendor provided data dictionaries for all business systems. - Database and data warehouse design across multiple platforms and computing environments. - Support new and existing development projects with logical data and process modeling activities. Provide entity, logical and physical data models. - Communicate to leadership within our partner companies to convey the importance and business value of data architecture. - Promote information management strategies that drive value to our organization and integrate our business systems. - Keep pace with latest trends and technologies related to information management to guide our future business strategies. - Participate in data governance processes related to data quality and information management - Assist in product evaluations for technology to support data management. - An understanding of the staffing or professional services profession a plus.Essential Skills, Competencies and Qualifications: - B.S. with a concentration in business or technology or equivalent work experience. - 7+ years experience in the Information Technology field required. - 5+ years experience in relational and dimensional modeling, including the development of entity relationship diagrams. - Experience with data modeling tools such as ERWin, Power Designer, and Visio. - Knowledge of Kimball dimensional data modeling methodology is a plus. - Strong people skills including the ability to effectively and concisely communicate orally and in writing across all levels of the organization. - Demonstrated strong analytical skills including the ability to solve problems in a systematic, logical and effective way leveraging defined processes and methods. - 5+ years experience with Oracle RDBMS. Microsoft SQL Server is a plus. - Ability to collaborate in a team environment and ability to work independently to meet individual and team goals - Ability to handle multiple projects or issues concurrently - Experience with ETL and EAI technologies such as Informatica and TIBCO is a plus - Familiar with concepts and strategies of a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). - Familiar with enterprise ERP and CRM systems such as PeopleSoft and Siebel **PLEASE INCLUDE SALARY EXPECTIONS WITH YOUR APPLICATION.Required Skills: relational /dimensional modeling, ERWinPeople.
