DIRECTOR, WIND POWER DEVELOPMENT

DIRECTOR, WIND POWER DEVELOPMENT (5233-C) Responsibilities:The Director/Vice President, Wind Power Development will drive significant business growth in the Northeast region and will be charged with the origination, advancement and execution of wind, and other renewable energy development. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership and project development qualities, will be successful in nurturing 3rd party relationships, building and leading successful teams, and have a solid understanding of the wind power industry. Support the company’s objective of developing, and growing a portfolio of wind and other renewable power generation assets . Identify & close on development & acquisition opportunities to meet strategic and financial goals.  Manage internal and external resources (engineering, finance, legal, environmental, etc) to successfully develop candidate projects. Establish and lead project development teams. Structure overall projects and manage development through financial close/start of construction. Support acquisition and divestiture due diligence and negotiation activity. Maintain an overview of the relevant business and competitive environment, including regulatory and environmental legislation. QualificationsBachelor’s Degree or higher in business, engineering, economics, a related field, or equivalent experience. 5-10 years experience in originating, negotiating and executing transactions in the energy sector, with a minimum of 2 years experience in wind power development. Demonstrated analytical skills and commercial savvy. Intermediate/advance level experience in market assessment, contractual relationships, market development, negotiating commercial agreements.
