DIRECTOR, RISK CONTROLS (energy) (5334) Responsibilities:Develop and maintain corporate risk practice. Monitor credit exposure associated with commodity hedges (sales and purchases) and works with Treasury and Accounting to perform mark-to-market calculations associated with collateral calls and to manage corporate liquidity. Develop and calculate portfolio market and credit risk metrics. Analyze credit concentration and unsold forward generation position relative to corporate risk limits, and responsible for reporting violations to management.  Ensure adequate mid and back office controls exist for trading and marketing functions (responsible for auditing of such controls). Perform stressed scenario analysis to understand tail event risk associated with forward power market price movements and effects on credit collateral and/or future merchant revenues. Provide evaluation of market point of view methodology. Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in Finance, Economics, related or technical field (MBA or PhD preferred) and 10+ years of well-rounded experiences in more than one of the following sectors: energy trading, market risk, credit risk, and/or corporate finance. Significant experience in power and gas commodity markets and experience within a commodity trading environment is required. Certification by PRMIA or GARP desirable. Also highly preferred is Credit or Commodity  Risk Management experience, statistical analysis, VaR calculations, cross commodity valuation & risk analysis, option theory, financial analysis, advanced knowledge of Excel and familiarity with MS Office Suite of products. Experience in the Northeast power markets and familiarity with nuclear plant operations and uranium market is preferred. Compensation:  $150,000 - $225,000  (plus relocation & bonus) MRINetwork, one of the world's largest search and recruitment organizations, has over 1,000 offices in more than 35 countries.
