Our client, located in the western suburbs, is looking for a Tax Analyst on a 2-3 month contract basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who is between jobs!! There is a possibility that this position could turn into something more.

Responsibilities:Prepare data and related work papers for the divisions income tax and franchise tax returnsPrepare the divisions monthly tax provisions for financial statement purposes and assist in completing federal and state corporate income and franchise tax auditsAssist on special research projectsPrepare federal and provincial/state tax returns relating to income, capital, franchise and other taxesPrepare information returns to foreign reporting requirements in the US and Canada, 1099's etc.Prepare estimated/installment payments and reconcile statements of account from taxing jurisdictionsPrepare monthly tax provision working papersAssiste with interim reportingProvide the company with the necessary research and technical requirements in such areas as international transactions, US and Canadian tax refrom with emphasis on corporate impactProvide assistance to sales, marketing and trade representatives in addressing specific sales tax transfer price and corporate tax issues impacting sales transactionsAssist legal, purchasing and payables reps in addressing specific sales tax, transfer price and corporate tax issues impacting the purchase of goods and servicesAssist in managing and settling federal and state tax audits

Experience:4 years degree in accounting/finance3-4 years of corporate tax and/or Big 4 experience with strong federal and state tax backgroundUnderstanding of US inbound and outbound reporting requirements

Desirable:Multi State/Provincial Tax ExperienceAudit or accounting experience with knowledge of GAAP and IFRSAbility to work independently
