Associate Director

The position is responsible for contributing to the mission and goals of the Office of Career Services through the management of the Employer Recruiting Program and Employer Outreach/Development initiatives. Responsibilities will include the following:

- evaluate the objectives and the outcomes of the program and refine policies governing recruiters and students who participate;

- supervise all of the activities of the recruiting program and participate in other career events in the office;

- initiate discussions with employer representatives to encourage their participation in the program, resolve any service issues, evaluate corporate literature and advise employers on the best practices to follow in establishing effective recruiting procedures

- coordinate the collection, analyses, and reporting of extensive data concerning the senior class in regards to the Career Plans Survey Report. This information will be disseminated within the university to senior administration and a variety of academic and program departments. Material will also be developed for external distribution in multiple formats.

Essential Qualifications

This position requires a graduate degree in career counseling, higher education, or related area and at least 3-5 years of progressively responsible employer development/campus recruiting/college relations experience, including administrative responsibilities and staff supervision. The successful candidate must possess the capacity for effective collaboration and communication with students, employers, and administrators and demonstrate ability to work independently and as a contributing team member. Experience with information technology, team building, project management and handling multiple priorities is needed. Exceptional communication skills, initiative, flexibility, and sound judgment are essential.
