Accountant Job Description/Duties: · Prepares and review reports such as the general ledger report.· Prepares journal entries to record transactions to the general ledger.· Analyzes accounting variances and prepare variance explanation reports.· Prepares operating budgets for clients and/or business line leaders.· Prepares federal, state and local tax reports.· Review and approve capital purchase requisitions.· Manage and maintain accounting system.· Prepare monthly reconciliation sub ledger and the general ledger.· Prepare and distribute monthly analysis reporting using Excel.· Provide supporting documentation and work directly with auditors as needed during annual audits on any issues relating to accounting.
