Copywriter / Proofreader

HOIST Fitness Systems, a leading manufacturer in fitness strength equipment, has an immediate opening for an experienced Copywriter/Proofreader. This is a temporary, part-time, freelance position (approximately 2-3 days a week, for 3 months) with the possibility of being hired by the company at the completion of the assignment.

You will work closely with the Creative Manager & Marketing Director during the creation of Marketing copy to final proofs. You will also work with other departments within the company for various copy requests/needs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•Copywriting/editing all printed materials, website, e-newsletters, emails, brochures, product catalogs, and other related marketing projects.

•Proofreading/reviewing all new and existing copy of printed materials, website, e-newsletters, emails, brochures, product catalogs, and other related marketing projects in order to detect and correct any errors, and recommend copy material to be updated

•Research & Development of new copy ideas for potential new products/services or various projects

•Administrative Duties such as routine reports/correspondences, file organization, etc.

Qualifications include:
•Bachelor's degree in a Marketing communication or related field
•2-4 years of experience in copy writing
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
•Excellent grammar and editing skills
•Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
•Knowledge of Copywriting/Proofreading/Editing marks
•Technological proficiency for use of the personal computer, Microsoft Excel, Word.
•Knowledge of fitness and health is a PLUS.
•Experience in Adobe Creative Suite 3 is a PLUS.
