Systems Administrator (CBP)
Systems Division provides select Government, commercial, and international customers value-added, total worldwide systems solutions for their air and missile defense, air traffic control, communications, command and control, range, spacelift, surveillance, and force protection needs, as well as full logistics support services for facilities and equipment. POSITION SUMMARY:The Systems Administrator is responsible for administration of system workstations and servers. In addition, also performing database related tasks to include database maintenance and reporting. Duties also include performing CCTV tasks to including setup of CCTV equipment, maintenance of CCTV equipment and training guard personnel on proper CCTV operation. The Systems Administrator will be required to perform access control system tasks to consisting of; setup and maintenance of access control system equipment, reviewing alarm data checking for nuisance alarms, operating the fingerprint system, and coordinating with the customer and guard service to notify them of issues with the access control system.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. MDI SAFENET SQL Database maintenance; to include log file archives, deletion of old log files, re-indexing of databases, daily and weekly backups, etc.2. Vicon CCTV Matrix Switch, Multiplexer, and Digital Video Recorder Programming and setup.3. Training of contract guard & CBP personnel on proper operation of CCTV Equipment and Alarm System Monitoring Station.4. Scheduling of Door Closure and Locking based on standard daily and weekend schedules and creating any special event schedules, as required.5. Total database cleanup and operation of Badging Station and card database to ensure proper operation.6. Coordinate with contract guard and CBP personnel on alarm reporting issues, to include proper reporting of security maintenance problems to contractor personnel.7. Performing database reporting at the request of CBP personnel, to search for specific access violations, etc., on a particular individual, area, or group.8. Review alarm reporting on a regular basis to check for new or re-occurring S faults or nuisance alarms.9. Coordinate with CBP Organizations to verify appropriate building access privileges (badge classes and special exceptions).10. Responsible for administration of MDI SAFENET LAN and Workstation configurations.11. Assist CBP personnel and Authorized Government Officials with Video Reviews utilizing stored DVR data. Provide export video data as equipment and resources permit.12. Responsible for operation of Fingerprint System in Badging Office, on an as needed basis.13. Issue and assign CBP MDI Access Control Proximity cards for building access.14. Coordinate with CBP personnel and Electronic Security Technicians for new installations and maintenance of access control system.15. Other duties as assigned (other special projects and/or initiatives as required by FPS.) MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:Education A bachelor's degree in a computer science related field is preferred.Training & Certifications: Training and certification preferred in the following applications:MDI SAFEnet 6.2 Software w/IDC HardwareMDI SAFEnet 6.2 System AdministrationMDI SAFEnet Networking and SQL DatabaseMicrosoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) CertifiedExperience: At least 2 years of experience performing the technical and administration duties as indicated above in the Job Duties and Responsibilities. Included in that experience, the SA I must demonstrate technical knowledge. The SA I must be certified in order to work with the USAID and/or CBP equipment.
