Sr Security Operations Manager
Sr Security Operations ManagerTranSystems' Ft. Lauderdale office is seeking a Sr Security Operations candidate to help lead a full range of global security services to the energy & transportation industry. Ideal candidate will have significant experience developing and supporting clients in both the private and public sectors. This position offers great opportunity for growth and advancement. The position will be located in the Ft. Lauderdale office and will report to the President – Security. BackgroundThe successful candidate will work closely with corporate HQs, market sector leaders, lines of business presidents, and other principals and, as a client manager will be responsible for developing a portfolio of clients. The candidate will serve as a Team Leader for field operations, conducting vulnerability assessments and security systems designs for critical infrastructure sector facilities, structures, and sites worldwide. He or she will provide subject matter expert evaluation of security systems and procedures. This position requires executive-level security and/or antiterrorism expertise and both government and private sector experience preferred. Primary Responsibilities Operations:• Conduct security vulnerability assessments of facilities, operations, and systems. Recommend appropriate corrective actions to address identified vulnerabilities. • Write detailed security plans, manuals, operating procedures, and training curricula. • Conduct physical security surveys and audits to measure compliance with applicable maritime, aviation, rail, and/or energy regulations and industry standards, and provide subject matter expert evaluation of security systems, plans, and procedures. • Develop and perform security awareness and risk mitigation training for security and non-security personnel through classroom instruction, table-top exercises, and on-site drills and exercises. Management • Personally identify and develop clients with gross project revenues of over $1 million annually.• Travel to, identify, and develop new opportunities for the Company’s security services worldwide, including the Middle East and developing world. • Mentor operations team members in their career development plans.• Ensure staff members receive proper training and certifications. Marketing • Support proposal generation efforts by analyzing RFPs to determine proper project scope, estimate necessary resources, develop pricing, and identify required skills sets to successfully complete the project. • Lead sales calls as part of a security business development strategy. Qualifications The candidate should posses a minimum 4-year degree, with an MBA or other graduate degree preferred, and have at least 15 years of work experience in intelligence or federal law enforcement, and/or in related security management, preferably in the maritime, rail, or energy industries. Strong preference will be given to candidates who possess a CPP certification. In addition, the candidate should have:• Expertise in physical, information, and personnel security standards, regulations, policies, and procedures. • Experience drafting security plans and procedures. • Superior writing skills (a test will be required in addition to writing samples). • Experience managing complex security projects within time and cost constraints. • Demonstrated leadership skills and a strong track record of managing employees and teams.• Expert knowledge of physical protective systems (e.g., intrusion detection, access controls, CCTV). • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; specifically, the ability to collect, consolidate, and analyze information required for reports, plans, and other documents. • Previous federal and/or military service preferred in intelligence operations, special operations, as well as overseas service.10+ years
