Service Technician/Security

 

InterTECH Security, LLC is a large electronic security integration firm headquartered in Western Pennsylvania with branch offices located in Maryland, Florida, West Virginia and Central Pennsylvania. InterTECH is seeking a highly motivated service technician with skills and experience in the security industry.  The chosen candidate will service intrusion, video and access control systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Troubleshoot and repair access, intrusion, fire and video systemsUtilize system software to diagnose failures and perform reconfigurationsInterpret scopes of work and blueprintsTerminate security alarm devices and camerasAbide by building code standards and safety standardsPull copper and coaxial cable in backbone, horizontal and riser environments Communicate with Service Coordinator, Technicians, Project Mangers, Field Managers and other co-workers regarding service call status; communicate with customers regarding service call progress Exhibit professional appearance and conductProvide exceptional customer serviceParticipate in “on-callâ€� rotation

 

Required knowledge, skills and abilities:Ability to read blueprintsKnowledge of electronics and excellent troubleshooting skillsStrong computer networking skillsStrong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skillsExcellent oral and written communication skills

Education and Experience

 Technical degree in electronics or equivalent work experienceQualified candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience performing installation duties in the commercial security or related industriesMeet Maryland and Virginia state licensing requirements
