Career opportunities may be found at the National Support Center, located in Irving, Texas, a suburb of Dallas/Fort Worth, our National Customer Contact Center, located in Knoxville, Tennessee, or at one of our sales and service branch offices located across the United States as well as British Columbia, Canada.   Senior SEC Financial Reporting Professional Description:SUMMARY: This position is responsible for preparing quarterly/annual SEC filings and related financial information, benchmarking the Company's annual reports to develop and maintain "best practices" and ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), monitoring/implementing updates on accounting and reporting standards, performing technical accounting research to maintain quality financial reporting practices and compliance with GAAP. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following,* Prepare annual and quarterly reports to be filed with SEC; including MD&A, financial statements and accompanying footnotes, and other supplemental information; ensure such reports comply with GAAP and SEC reporting standards; and coordinate independent accountant review. * Gather financial information from various business/corporate units, maintain quarterly reporting time table, and monitor progress against reporting cycle milestones.* Obtain and/or prepare SEC filing schedules and maintaining supporting documentation to ensure SOX compliance.* Benchmark annual report against key competitors and other public companies; and monitor SEC comment letters to develop and maintain "best practices".* Prepare financial data for quarterly press release.* Review working papers and draft financial statements for various company benefit plans.* Prepare narratives and matrices of control functions to ensure SOX compliance and assist with SOX Coordinator initiated testing procedures.* Perform financial and variance analysis based upon GAAP financials with identification, documentation and communication of trends and variances to independent accountants, investor relations, and upper management.* Monitor new accounting and reporting guidance for potential application and provide training, documentation and guidance to operational accounting group and upper management as needed.* Perform special projects and other duties as assignedQualifications:QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. CPA designation required. MBA preferred. A minimum of four years experience in public accounting/public company reporting required. Experience with a large public accounting firm a plus. LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical manuals and procedures, financial policies and pronouncements, and government regulations. Ability to write routine reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to clearly and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups within and outside the Company.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions furnished in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Proficiency with computer hardware components and software packages, especially Microsoft Office products.
