Safety/Security Specialist, Federal/DOD Programs
Description:Job Summary:As a Safety/Security Specialist you work on a team of professionals who are responsible for providing the protection of NetApp's personnel and property. You create plans to respond to emergencies and investigate accidents; and create documents, manuals, reports and records. You work collaboratively with other departments in meeting planned goals including Facilities, Space Planning, and Maintenance departments. Essential Functions:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Detailed knowledge of DoD/Intel agencies' security requirements. Manage day to day operations and security of all SCIFs. Coordinate security certification and accreditation requirements with appropriate agencies for final approval. Perform as Facility Security Officer for RTP, NC ensuring site meets required NISPOM requirements Perform as Information Assurance Manager for all SCIFs ensuring sites comply with all DOD/Intel security requirements and procedures. Applicable directives include DCID 6/3, 6/9, DIACAP, NISPOM, JFAN, DISA STIGs, DOD 8500.1/2 and SAP/SAR programs Consult with IT Technical staff to evaluate, select, install, and configure hardware and software systems that provide appropriate security functions in accordance with DOD standards Administer information systems such as: Routers, Intrusion Detection Systems (Host and Network based), Firewalls, Proxy Servers, Antivirus Servers, including vulnerability assessment tools such as ISS, Harris Stat, E-Eye Retina and associated cryptographic ancillary devices Proactively protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information in the custody of or processed by the companyspond in a timely manner to a loss or misuse of information assetsrticipate in investigations of suspected information security misuse or in compliance reviews as requested by auditorsmmunicate unresolved security exposures, misuse, or noncompliance situations to the Global Security Manager Consult with Security staff and provide assistance to develop and implement information security educational programs, conducting awareness seminars and workshops as appropriate Maintain COMSEC for all sites; and perform as Alternate COMSEC custodian Develop and maintain effective disaster recovery plans, processes, and procedures necessary to recover services in the event of a declared disaster Coordinate crisis incident response programs associated with critical business impact risksEducation and Experience:- A minimum of 5 years of experience is required; 6 to 8 years of experience is preferred. BS/BA Required or equivalent Government Security experienceIndustry certifications preferred in one of the following areas: CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or MCSE- Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, moderately complex technical tasks.Qualifications:REQUIREMENTS: 8 years experience Preferred, including 3-5 years progressive experience in highly classified, high-technology environment.The government security operations manager will be responsible for development of DOD certification and accreditation programs, audits and compliance requirements, and oversight of the RTP, NC Facility Security Officer (FSO) program.
