RECRUITER GENERALIST
I. JOB FUNCTION
Actively recruit, interview, screen and hire job candidates. Fill company openings through creative and alternative methods advertising, cultivating employee referrals, visits to college campuses, participating in job fairs, consultation with personnel agencies, and maintaining appropriate contacts within the community. Aggressively maintain a multi-faceted recruitment program. Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding the hiring and placement of security officers.
II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Part I: Position Requisitions
• Partner with and schedule meetings with hiring managers to ascertain needs and thorough job knowledge.
• Review completed requisition form (filled out by hiring manager) for accuracy and detail before obtaining final approval.
• Consistently maintain current status log of all requisitions.
Part II: Agency Management
• As the singular recruitment liaison with these outside vendors, maintain contacts with recruitment, consultant and temporary staff agencies.
• Effectively manage and track the requisition and contract process with the agencies.
• Establish relationships with preferred local recruitment, consultant and temporary staff agencies.
Part III: Job Posting
• Post open jobs internally and externally.
• Coordinate media advertising, as required.
• Contact community job placement services, private personnel agencies, and educational institutions to set up interviews with job counselors and prospective candidates.
• Provide information on the company, its policies, benefits, and available opportunities to agencies, colleges, and prospects.
Part IV: Recruitment
• Within allotted budget, use all available and appropriate methods of recruiting including but not limited to media, Internet, job fairs, community job placement services, outside agencies and educational institutions.
• Utilize company branded recruiting brochures.
• Source requisite minimum applicants per month pre-determined for each SDU.
Part V: Applicant Tracking
• Maintain current log of resumes/applications received and the candidates’ status.
• Adhere to all equal employment opportunity (EEO) legislation, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and other government compliance requirements with respect to interviewing, testing, and hiring processes.
• Maintain necessary files covering applications, interviews, and testing procedures.
• Track employee referrals for referral bonus purposes.
Part VI: Interviews, Reference Checks, Testing, Offers of Employment
• Interview applicants and gather information regarding education, experience, training, job skills, and salary requirements.
• Verify credentials and references, and schedule follow-up interviews with hiring managers.
• Coordinate candidate assessment, as required.
• Follow established internal application process.
Part VII: Reporting
• Provide regular and as requested reports on recruitment activity.
• Provide regular and as requested input to company management reports and company databases. (i.e. Lawson, Willow).
III. MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
• This position requires two years of post-high school education.
• A minimum of two years recruiting experience.
• Human resource generalist experience and thorough knowledge of equal employment opportunity fundamentals as well as government compliance regulations pursuant to recruiting.
• Excellent interviewing and general communication skills, both written and oral. The ability to convey a positive and professional image to candidates and employees.
IV. OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to multi-task under pre-determined time constraints.
• Ability to utilize Internet recruiting sources.
• Ability to work with diverse groups.
• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand the global recruiting plan while managing the details.
• Travel to participate in local job fairs.
• Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
