IT Senior Business Analyst, Install to Service

Location: Boca Raton Job Category: IT/Software Development Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Job Posted: 9/11/2008 Job Description: The IT Install to Service (ITS)- Senior Business Analyst resides on the ITS Business Delivery team responsible for partnering with the Business Operations group to interpret business needs, and document requirements. This role will require the candidate to: collaborate with internal business partners to identify business needs and perform project scoping; create functional requirements; provide input for the creation of project plans; create test cases; support UAT; perform issues tracking and problem resolution; coordinate project activities across multiple department/groups; and compile timeline estimates and project documentation. This position is a role with primary responsibility of business alignment and leading projects in the service space and managing business relationships with key Business Operations stakeholders. The Sr. Business Analyst will make recommendations and influences IT Leaders and business process owners to maximize long term and short term project and program ROI (return on investment). Duties and Responsibilities:1. Business Analyst:- Document and analyze business processes- Develop detailed, user requirements and functional specification documents- Author and execute test plans to ensure successful implementation - Strong process management and analytical skills- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written- Some experience in quality assurance testing- Participates on projects and resolves issues of moderate complexity - Regularly interacts with team leadership and occasionally interacts with Department Leadership- Explores alternative ways of meeting user requirements through improved process - Serves as liaison between technical and non-technical positions- May evaluate the effectiveness of new programs by comparing results with original propose- Understand existing business processes and serve as a business process / data subject matter expert (SME)- Manage business expectations throughout project lifecycle- Understand information, technical, and organization architecture- Manage requests for changes based on business needs- Lead UAT Testing2.
