Works closely with the Loss Prevention Manager to implement policies, systems and programs relating to accident prevention, safety, environmental health, security and fire prevention and protection techniques.RESPONSIBILITIES:Implements proactive shrink and safety measures in assigned logistics facilities.Conduct and ensure the timely completion of routine audits to identify existing or potential exposure and monitor compliance to policy and procedure.Assists in coordinating investigations with Loss Prevention Manager through proper documentation and observation.Assists in providing direction and training to Loss Prevention teams on their assigned responsibilities within various areas in the facility. Schedules, assigns and monitors completion of assigned tasks.Conducts and successfully concludes internal and external theft/fraud investigations within assigned facilities. Takes the appropriate partnerships as necessary.Assists LPM in driving company shrink awareness programs to heighten the awareness level and increase participation of facility management and associates in shrink prevention.Communicates daily with Loss Prevention Manager to keep him/her apprised of current issues (i.e. work schedules, audit findings, suspected theft, etc.).Assists Loss Prevention Manager in ensuring facility management and associates are aware of, understand and participate in Loss Prevention programs.Accurately documents and reports loss prevention incidents which occur within assigned facilities during their shift's responsibility.Accurately documents and reports all accidents in the Return to Work database.Appropriately monitors work activities of Loss Prevention team members and contract guard service, to confirm work is done in an accurate, effective and timely manner.Able to perform (cross-trained) duties and responsibilities of any Loss Prevention Auditors as needed.Works with Loss Prevention Manager and facility associates/management to identify areas of opportunity which may include procedural and systems modifications to eliminate exposures and reduce loss.Drives participation in and compliance of Loss Prevention programs.Completes special projects as assigned by Loss Prevention Manager.Assist in monitoring, reviewing and enforcing safety and environmental regulations. Ensures all associates adhere to local, state and federal regulations and notifies appropriate personnel when assigned facility is not in compliance.Assist Loss Prevention Manager in coordinating and monitoring fire protection equipment inspection records and in conducting monthly drills to maintain fire-fighting readiness.Job Description: Logistics Loss Prevention SupervisorPage 2Assist Loss Prevention Manager in implementing and administering operational audits to include shipping, receiving, repack and overflow audits. Assist Loss Prevention Manager in implementing and administering the seal audit process to stores in service area.QualificationsEDUCATION/TRAINING:· High school diploma or equivalent required.· Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.EXPERIENCE:· Three (3) to five (5) years of Loss Prevention, fire prevention, safety, or security experience or equivalent preferred.ROLE SPECIFIC ABILITIES/SKILLS:· Strong leadership, administrative, computer knowledge, organizational and management skills.· Effective oral and written communication skills.· Skilled in interrogation and investigation tactics.· Good analytical ability to gather and interpret information, and develop, recommend and implement solutions.· Knowledge of OSHA, environmental, safety, health and Loss Prevention rules and regulations desirable.· Basic knowledge of security systems; i.e. alarms, CCTV, etc. desirable.· Must successfully complete a detailed personal background investigation that may include the following: credit history, criminal history and motor vehicle driving history.Sears is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
