POSITION DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Contract Security Sales

DEPARTMENT: Sales



ORGANIZATION LOCATION: New York Branch

 

Relationships:

Reports to: Branch & Regional (directly); Regional Vice President (indirectly)

Supervises: Sales staff, telemarketers, marketing staff

Works with:  All Branch Departments (Operations, Administrative, Human Resources, Insurance, and Safety)

External: Prospective and current clients, professional security organizations (e.g., ASIS), property management organizations and building owners (e.g., BOMA)

 

Qualifications:

Education:  Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Public Relations, Business Management

Work Experience: Previous experience in marketing and business development or public relations preferred; past work experience in the service industry; track records of prospecting, qualifying and closing new sales opportunities

 

Responsibilities:

 

1. Duties include identifying and properly qualifying business opportunities

 

2. Direct market and customer analysis to quantify and prioritize customer’s security requirements.

 

3. Understand key customer business metrics and provide ongoing feedback to Company management

 

4. Maintain a strong knowledge of security business, real estate ownership changes in Company’s business niche

 

5. Denveloping and following up on sales leads, calling on existing clients, creating proposals, and submitting bids.

 

6. Build relationships with existing and new clients to maintain present sales and to facilitate add-on business and services.

 

6.   Represent Company BOMA, IFMA, IREM or similar trade organizations

 

7. Represent Company at local or regional conferences or at and National meetings

 

8. Coordinate social events involving “meet and greet� clients for Company such as golf outings

 

9. Conduct cold calls to prospective clients

 

10. Maintain metrics as to number and type of contacts, results of contacts, follow-up contacts, etc.

 

11. Complete and assist on responses to client’s RFPs

 

12. Perform other duties and assignments as provided by Company management
