About the Position

 

We are looking for a motivated and energetic CAD operator to join our busy team.  The ideal candidate has experience using the latest AutoCAD and/or Visio software.  Knowledge of low voltage systems including fire alarm technology is a plus.  Candidate must be self-motivated, organized, and able to work on various projects at one time.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Sales Engineers and Project Managers to develop shop drawings for commercial projects.  You will be responsible for completing Low Voltage System drawings, shop drawings, as built plans, and details as needed.  Prior experience designing any kind of Fire, Security, Access Control, CCTV, Audio Visual, Data, or Intercom Systems would be a plus.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

- High School graduate, technical school training with courses in computer aided drafting or

  equivalent work experience.



- Full time drafting experience.

 

- Experience with Electrical Systems per NEC & Fire Alarm Systems per NFPA 72 is a plus!

 

- Experience with Fire Alarm Design is a plus!

 

- Knowledge of blueprints and project specifications.

 

- Ability to work independently as well as with a team.

 

- Must demonstrate a strong commitment to exceeding quality standards.

 

- Must be responsible when handling confidential and sensitive information.

 

- Must demonstrate good written and verbal communication.

 

- Must have a high attention to detail, organization skills, and computer proficiency.

 

- Must not be color blind.
