Business Development Manager – Northern New Jersey

We are looking for an eligible candidate to present/recommend to U.S. Security Associates, Inc. for consideration when hiring for the following position.

One of the nation’s largest security guard firms - - U.S. Security Associates, Inc. - - is searching for a Business Development Manager to sell its services in Northern New Jersey. 

Minimum qualifications:

· At least two years selling experience in the contract security industry or similar service industry, where face-to-face selling is essential

· Successful track record in relationship selling, with verifiable results

· Longer-term resident of Northern or Central New Jersey

· Familiarity with and regular use of Customer Relationship Management software

· Strong appearance and verbal presentation skills

· Commitment to re-selling after the initial sale to ensure long-term business continuity and expansion

· Experience selling to C-level decision-makers, operational influencers and trusted gatekeepers

· Self-reliant and aggressive as the person who drives the sales process and orchestrates team-selling

· College degree preferred, however, not a requirement if experience in the marketplace and track record are strong

· Clear criminal history, driving record, with no drug use and legal right to work in the United States of America

Other considerations:

· Able to build “trust” and still negotiate win-win agreements

· Preference for in-field activity, with 80% of work week spent in the field with prospects and clients

· Creative in using questions to position prospects to buy

· Outstanding listening skills, as a means to build trust and to design the sales process

U.S. Security Associates, In. is the fourth-largest uniformed guard company in the United States.  They are a private, American-owned and operated company.  Their focus is on guard service, but they also sell loss prevention and investigative services, as well as peripheral services such as valet parking, courier, mailroom, concierge and receptionist.
