POSITION TITLE:  eComm Developer
REPORTS TO:Manager, IT eCommerce
LOCATION: Home Office - New Albany, OH

 
POSITION SUMMARY:
The eComm Developer is responsible for translating design mock-ups and business requirements into fully functional eCommerce web applications utilizing standards-compliant web coding techniques (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax, etc).  As a member of the project team, the developer will be responsible for application analysis, design, coding, testing, documenting, and maintaining as well as upgrading existing applications.  The developer will work closely with the design team to ensure their vision is accurately represented in the final product.  An opportunity exists to be trained in Flex for this role.

 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical design and implementation of eCommerce web applications.Work with other team members to define and implement the creative direction of multiple websites.Develop standards-compliant HTML and CSS from user interface sketches, comps, or detailed specificationsInterface with backend by developing JSPs that utilize tag libraries.Mentor less experienced team members.Ensure all changes are properly documented, planned, tested, and approved prior to being moved into production.The candidate must be adaptive to the use of new software aids and programming techniques as they are required or adapted in IT.Acquire and maintain additional technical skills for professional development.Ensure work meets functionality and quality expectations within given timelines.
 
Minimum 4 year degree required (IT related field preferred)Minimum 2 years experience in web application developmentSolid experience and skills with web development technologies such as HTML, Javascript, CSS, AJAX, etc.Ability to hand-code standards-compliant XHTMLExperience working with AJAX toolkits such as JQuery and Yahoo! User Interface Library (preferred)Knowledge of object oriented design (preferred)
