Web/Credit Services Customer Service Representative

Barneys New York, the world’s leading luxury retailer, is committed to providing the best of everything: merchandise, customer service, and innovative people with creative ideas. We are currently seeking a Web/Credit Services Customer Service Representative for our Lyndhurst, NJ location. 

The Web Services Representative is responsible for providing world-class customer service to our clients by resolving customer inquiries through multiple contact channels; including phone, written correspondence, and e-mail. The successful representative will address and resolve customer inquiries to ensure first contact resolution.  This individual will make every customer interaction count by ensuring that customer issues have been rectified and they are satisfied with the level of service they have received.

Skills/Requirements: World-class customer service focus and interpersonal skills. Previous success in call-center service or experience within a customer service environment.  Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible, and fluid work environment. Strong troubleshooting and follow-up skills are necessary.  Must demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills. Fluency in utilizing web-based applications as well as a working knowledge of MS Office is a must. Schedule flexibility (night, weekend, and holiday hours will be required).

Responsibilities:


 Handle incoming calls from the call center and assist with complex customer e-mail and telephone inquiries through the use of multiple customer support tools.  Work directly with the web manager on issues that need to be escalated.  Work with our shipping vendor to initiate claims for lost or damaged merchandise.  Handle ad hoc credit responsibilities within the department (i.e., ADU accounts, Cybersource credit card review, Accurint verifications, etc.).  Assist with the day-to-day clerical responsibilities within the department.
