Warehouse- Part-Time Seafood and Reclamation

Note to Candidate:

Must be at least 18 years old

Must be available to work either of the following schedules:Seafood Tuesday – Saturday availability 5am – 4:30pm (approx. 24 – 30hrs/ week)Seafood Wednesday & Saturday 7am – 3:30pm; Reclamation any other 2 days/week 7am – 3:30pm

 

A glimpse at the job:

Working behind the scenes at Wegmans Reclamation Center and Seafood Warehouse, you will be given the opportunity to play a critical role supporting our stores, helping them provide the incredible customer service we’ve come to pride ourselves on. From selecting the freshest seafood products to be delivered to stores to helping ensure Wegmans does its part to “stay green� and recycle, you’ll work closely with team members performing tasks crucial to the success of Wegmans and the satisfaction of our customers.

 

I will add value by:Providing incredible service to stores by accurately selecting products using Vocollect software and assembling and packaging pallets to be delivered Sanitizing meat totes and other supplies Separating recyclables and ensuring they get sent out to be recycled Properly assembling recalled products onto pallets to be sent back to vendorsLoading and unloading trailers on a timely basis to ensure products are sent out at correct times and products don’t remain on a trailerProcessing vendor deliveries made to the warehouseProperly handling all products and equipment in accordance with food safety and safety guidelines

Work environment:Typical motions include reaching, lifting, stooping, twisting and bendingResponsible for moving and lifting an average of 30 – 65 pounds regularlyMay be exposed to various allergensWill be required to work in both warm and cold environmentsRequired to stand on his or her feet for long periods of time
