Warehouse & Customer Svc. Manager

Reports to

Operations Manager

Purpose To ensure the accurate, safe, and efficient management of materials in from supplier/store/customer and out to customer/store or return to supplier

 

Summary of essential job functions

·  Independently open, close and manage warehouse.

·  Maintain accurate inventory in computer system.

·  Accurately, safely, and efficiently receive and ship merchandise from/to supplier/store/customer.

·  Supervise Warehouse Assistant and Customer Service representatives, including hiring, training, performance appraisal, safety standards, team dynamics and motivation.

·  Inspect the quantity and quality of the merchandise received.

·  Assemble merchandise for retail showroom.

·  Provide accurate, damage free selection of orders in accordance with production standards.

·  Put merchandise in appropriate location to ensure accurate selection of product.

·  Stage completed orders of selected product in proper location for loading.

·  Adhere to all Company policies, procedures and safety rules including safe operation of equipment and helping to maintain a clean, safe work environment.

·  Maintain inventory by communicating with suppliers on items being returned to manufacturer and/or ordering replacement parts, coordinating or performing minor repairs, and ensuring that inventory is organized and appropriately stowed.

·  Routinely communicate with Operations Manager on warehouse status including: inventory levels and supplies needed.

·  Communicate with customer on order pick-ups, returns, etc

 



Position requirement

¾ 3+ years distribution experience, including direct customer interaction

¾ 3+ years of people management experience, including hiring, performance appraisal and team motivation

¾ Excellent communication skills – ability to interact with customers, suppliers, employees and peers

¾ High School diploma or equivalent 

¾ Working knowledge of all aspects of the warehouse

¾ Ability to work independently as well as be an effective team player

¾ Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment

¾ Ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times

¾ A skilled time manager, organizational follow through and attention to detail

¾ Strong analytical and decision making skills

¾ Ability to enter data, navigate screens and retrieve data in inventory.

¾ Ability to climb ladders and safely lift up to 50 pounds

¾ Ability to maintain safety and security standards
