AMERICAN GIRL PLACE, located in Chicago near the Magnificent Mile, in New York near Rockefeller Center and in Los Angeles in The Grove shopping center, is the award-winning retail and entertainment site created by American Girl,a wholly owned subsidiary of Mattel, Inc, selling books, dolls, clothing and other products for girls age 3-12. We have an excellent opportunity for the following professionals to join our team. While a job at an American Girl store certainly isn't child's play, it is an unparalleled opportunity to work in a very special place brimming with youthful energy and enthusiasm. Join the fun at the Natick Collection'our newest retail location.At the store, girls can shop for their favorite American Girl books, dolls, andaccessories; get a new 'do for their dolls in our signature doll hair salon; and savor a delicious lunch, dinner, or weekend brunch from a menu of classic American favorites. There's even an interactive dessert bar and private party rooms for birthdays and other special celebrations.We currently have an opportunity for a part time Visual Merchandiser.Purpose of Position:' Assist the visual merchandising manager in front window changes, merchandise changes and plan-o-gram layouts' Overall maintenance of visual in the store ' Create doll displays' Move merchandise, shelving and tables ' Design new concepts according to new product needs' Interact with staff and management' Provide customer service' Stock merchandise when needed Experience/Skills:' 2 years visual merchandising experience or arts degree' Knowledge of general visual principles required' Ability to work independently' 1-2 year experience in a retail environment is essential' Portfolio preferredMust be available to work weekends.American Girl is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mattel Inc.
