Vendor Relations Supervisor (Accounts Payable)

The Accounts Payable Supervisor will be responsible for supervising a staff of 7 and overseeing the daily operations of the Vendor Relations functions within the department.    RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure that both merchandise and service vendors are receiving timely response to their inquiries and quick resolution is being made to discrepancies.  Coordinate and prioritize vendor account statement reconciliations.  Work closely with various Store Support Center (corporate office) personnel to resolve invoice and vendor statement questions.  Evaluates processes to ensure optimum staff performance in key support metrics is obtained.  Prepare monthly reporting for department.  Assist with employee development and training, as well as, maintain supervisory responsibilities (i.e. time/attendance, performance management, write reviews, etc.) Other as hoc projects as determined by management.  REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma (with some college preferred) and a minimum of 3 years experience working in an Accounts Payable environment, with a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.  Ability to motivate a team while working in a fast-paced office environment where competing priorities and deadlines are “the norm”.  Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.  Strong communication (written and verbal), customer service and research/resolution skills are key to this position.  Must be good with people (both internal and external customers) and follow-up in a timely manner.
