Systems Administrator is responsible for the daily administration, support and planning of Client's current and future Windows based server systems.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Install and manage multi-site Exchange implementation.Manage a multi-site Active Directory domain. Plan, install and configure new server deployments. Lead or participate in enterprise security, application, and storage projects. Perform backup, restore and disaster recovery planning activities. Create operating system and application configuration, security and performance standards. Generate regulatory compliance related processes and adherence reports. Responsible for procuring hardware, software and licenses for the server environment.Manage and resolve escalated desktop support issues when needed.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS: BS degree with an emphasis in Information Systems/Computer Science and 3+ years of related experience.  Must have excellent knowledge of Windows 2000/2003 operating systems.  Must have excellent knowledge of Windows Active Directory including R2 enhancements.  Must have excellent knowledge of Exchange 2000/2007 and Outlook 2000/2003/2007. Must demonstrate experience with Windows high availability technologies (NLB, clustering). Experience with Citrix Presentation Server 4 administration. Must have in-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and SNMP technologies. Must have knowledge of recent Compaq/HP and Dell server hardware. Must have knowledge of one or more scripting languages (vbscript, wsh, batch, powershell) with an emphasis on process automation and reporting. Must have working knowledge of WAN and LAN technologies. Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously. Strong communication and documentation skills, and strong project management skills.

 

DESIRED SKILLS: MCSE 2000 or 2003 required; Symantec enterprise Anti-Virus administration; Previous experience addressing regulatory compliance audits; Working knowledge of Mac OSX 10.2 or later; Familiarity with Windows Vista; Recent experience with Solaris and SUN server hardware. After hours and weekend support via on-call rotation is required.
