Switchboard Operator

JOB SUMMARY:Utilizing our newest state of-the-art voice communication systems, the Switchboard Operator will provide a high level of customer service when dealing with all internal and external customers, project a professional image, and develop a positive working relationship with all customers. Answer all incoming calls in a prompt and professional manner. Serve as the back up for the Front Desk Receptionist during lunches, breaks, vacations, sick time and holidays. Have a complete understanding of all Visitor and Security Protocol. Project a professional image by having a neat appearance and exceptional customer service skills. Communicate all phone system problems immediately to the supervisor and the Telecommunications Analyst for prompt resolution. Ensure operator’s information is kept up to date at all times; including associate listings, quick reference guides, store listings, etc. Communicate all changes immediately to the group. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED 1 to 3 years experience Ability to type (35 WPM Excellent listening and verbal communication skills Understanding of the company structure
