Responsibilities:

We are looking for highly motivated candidates to support the strategic planning function.  A qualified candidate will:

·  Support the marketing function on high-value projects that support promotional effectiveness

·  Analyze large data sets using excel and access and then use informed judgment to simplify complex analyses

·  Analyze Guitar Center’s data against objectives, draw insights and develop actionable recommendations.

·  Optimize near term performance by analyzing real time business performance, test vs. control metrics, etc.

·  Develop financial models to support recommendations.

·  Facilitate the development of various presentations to relate findings and recommendations

·  Access internal and external data sources to gather and compile data for analysis

Requirements:

· Bachelors degree with a clear history of academic and professional achievement.  MBA is a plus. 

· Minimum of 2-4 years of solid and directly related experience required.

· Advanced excel modeling skills, experience with SQL, PowerPoint, and SPSS preferred (access to EDW)

· Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment; ability to support multiple work streams to meet deadlines.

· Energetic, forward-thinking and ambitious individual with high ethical standards and a polished professional image.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – written & oral. Ability to analyze and synthesize financial data and research into clear, concise presentations for internal senior leaders.

· Must be flexible to working overtime and traveling
