PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES: This position is responsible for the profitable management of a retail location.  The Store Director manages a staff of 3 to 5 full-time and 2 to 5 part-time associates and is accountable for the revenue performance, inventory control, expense control, administrative control and reporting, customer relations, store vendor relationships and communications to corporate support staff.   The Store Director is responsible to ensuring that the workplace and inventory is protected and secured and that the work environment is safe for customers and associates.

                                                 

 

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

      The Store Director will report to a District, Regional or Operational Executive and be responsible for managing a retail location that generates between 1 to 3 million dollars of revenue annually and purchases up to 2 million dollars of inventory and “scrap� from customers.   This position is responsible for managing and controlling store inventory valued up to $500,000 of cost, and expense budget of up to $400,000.

 

 

BACKGROUND/EDUCATIONAL REQUIEMENTS:

 

       This position requires a minimum of 10 years in the Jewelry Industry with 3 to 5 years experience managing a retail location.

Store Directors must have formal training from the GIA or AGS or equivalent experience in the identification, measurement and grading of gemstones and precious metals.  Experience managing a sales oriented commission environment is preferred.  Experience and knowledge of multi-unit operations is strongly preferred.
