Staff Accountant

Smokin’ Joe’s Tobacco Shop, Inc. operates over thirty retail locations in the eastern half of Pennsylvania as well as wholesale operations in the northern tier. We are an innovative, aggressive retailer and an industry leader.

 

We are seeking a Staff Accountant who wants to take on new responsibilities and grow with our organization.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Month end, quarter end and year end close Quarterly payroll tax returns Bank reconciliations General Leger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll functions Cash receipts Assist with special projects as needed Inventory accounting and reconciliation Inventory roll forwards, fixed assets, and margin analysis Updating and maintaining capital expenditures Preparing supporting schedules for financial statements preparation Assisting with budgeting and forecasting Balance sheet and expense analysis

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 

·         3+ years experience

·         Experience in operation of computerized accounting systems

·         Positive Attitude

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Bachelors of Science in Accounting. Additional professional certifications (CPA) or higher level degree (MBA) is a plus.
