Purpose: The Senior Manager is responsible for prototyping and developing test processes for implementation of strategic project opportunities. See Yourself: Partner with Manager, External Market and Guest Insight, Target.com and Target merchants, interactive marketing and other relevant parties to build and continuously update a comprehensive list of potential site and related project opportunities Develop and execute tollgate process to evaluate, prioritize and support key opportunities Build high-level value documents for key opportunities Serve as key participant and content input to Interactive Prototype process in partnership with the Group Manager, Guest Experience Serve as primary liaison to Target Technology Services/Business prioritization process Effectively transition project ideas to project teams upon securitization of funding and organizational priority. Manage and nurture relationships with partners across the corporation to ensure that project outcomes address business needs and have the support to drive action Lead and coach team to high degree of productivity and efficiency on projects, as well as coaching Strategy team members for success in the broader world of Target Act as advisor and thought partner for business area leaders to help them tackle pressing issues Share relevant concepts and approaches with business partners to raise the overall level of strategic thinking throughout the companyJob Requirements : MBA Demonstrate ability to coach Strategy team members and business partners to address complex business challenges Demonstrate a consistent ability to contribute thought leadership in areas of conceptual and practical business management Demonstrate aptitude for integrating creativity and openness to divergent opinions with pragmatism and results focus in order to achieve great outcomesDesired Requirements : Experience as a client service provider in a recognized consulting firm or relevant retail/consumer organization with clear progression Proven experience in a role requiring articulation of multifaceted business challenges, strategic problem solving, and advisory relationships with senior executives Experience leading and developing teams Ability to interpret complex information and tailor communication of results for relevance to diverse audiences Excellent sense for organizational dynamics, including ability to influence Prior experience in retail, a consumer-oriented industry or operational role highly desirable Strong conceptual skills, including flexibility in approach to problem-solving and ability to push beyond the obvious to find innovative solutions Broad-based business acumen Ability to synthesize and clearly communicate highly complex findings to focus on the critical issues and actionable opportunities Track record of success in dealing effectively with complex projects entailing frequent interaction with senior executives Consumer research experience preferred Excellent communication skills Ability to quickly establish rapport, credibility, trust and respect with peers, team members and executivesSee The Rewards Eligible team members will receive one of the best earnings packages anywhere, including competitive pay, all-around insurance coverage, 401(k), flexible scheduling, training and development and many other perks and benefits.
