Position Description:

POSITION PURPOSE: Visionary leader responsible for inspiring an exciting, fashion/action/music-packed website that will attract viewer traffic and drive increased sales both on-line and in-store.Direct reports will include design, development, marketing and visual effects professionals skilled in taking the leader’s vision and making it a virtual reality. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Oversee the look/feel of the website and its subsequent design to visually enhance the customer experience and support the ever-changing tastes and interests of youth culture.Define, develop and drive PacSun’s on-line presence to the next level in support of our goal to triple sales in 3-5 years. Research, select and evaluate vendors so as to increase website presence, functionality and analytics. Oversee online marketing, advertising and promotional programs. Maximize existing relationships. Explore and negotiate ones.Partner closely with peers overseeing cross-functional teams in Marketing, Merchandising, IT and the Call Center.

Qualifications:

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:7-10 years of exceptional leadership experience overseeing a team of 20+ in a series of strategic and progressively more responsible roles in a retail or consumer-driven environment. Must be a highly creative visionary who is in touch with fashion and music trends associated with the youth culture to which the PacSun customers belong.Demonstrated success in translating a creative vision into a well-developed plan that will align with both long and short term business objectives. Specifically to not only sustain a current on-line business of $50 million but to grow it to $150 million+ in 3-5 years.Must be highly creative and in touch with fashion and music trends so as to compliment PacSun’s brand marketing experience.Requires strong organizational skills, ability to successfully oversee a team responsible for multiple on-line related projectsMust be articulate with strong verbal and written communications skillsMust possess analytical skills including developing and working within budgetMS Office-Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Lotus NotesEDUCATION:Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
