JOB SUMMARY: 

 

Achieves assigned goals and objectives.  Under supervision, creates, develops, analyzes and maintains a wide variety of merchandising reporting.  These projects are comprehensive and of significant complexity as to require a thorough knowledge and systems capability found at a senior level.  Analysis and systems application requires a high skill of program software as well as a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, problem solving, thought and originality.



 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



 

· Achieves assigned goals and objectives through the development of assigned reporting and analyses using MS Office applications, VBA, and query tools as needed—

  Projects include, but are not limited to:

Þ  Determines appropriate data sources

Þ  Designs reporting format and layout

Þ  Recommends additional analysis needs

Þ  Programs reporting system to generate desired analysis

Þ  Draws conclusions where appropriate and recommend further action

· Achieves assigned goals and objectives through the production of management reporting monthly, weekly, daily and as assigned—

Þ  Generate assigned reports

Þ  Review and reconcile for accuracy

· Achieves assigned goals and objectives through consistent maintenance and enhancement of the Merchandise Planning System as needed— 

Þ  Makes calculation changes as needed

Þ  Maintains hierarchy changes & additions

Þ  Recommends enhancements

Þ  Validates data accuracy

Þ  Populates monthly actuals

· Provides back-up support for Control Office & Price Management functions to cover for vacations 

  and absences.

· Ongoing personal systems training & development. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:



 

· B.S. Degree in business, accounting or computer science or equivalent experience

· 3-5 years business exposure with focus on complex analyses and problem-solving

· 5-7 years advanced PC experience with MS Office Suite products

· 3-5 years retail business experience

· Analytical and problem solving skills

· Highly advanced PC, MS Office skills with focus on Excel

· Communication skills

· AS/400 knowledge
