Software Specialist - Desktop
Responsibilities:
Will maintain and upgrade existing Windows desktop systems. Responsibilities include the evaulation, coordination, implementation and upgrade of PC hardware, software and peripherals. These responsibilities will also include application repackaging, PC image creation along with PC hardware and software selection. Will provide Team Members (end users) support for PC hardware, software and peripherals by identifying, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software problems. Will document problem resolutions and support procedures and distribute accordingly. Will coordinate, plan, execute and maintain large scale enterprise desktop projects. Will ensure regulatory, audit and System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) compliance by adhereing to I.S. Activity Controls Matrix, Change Development System and SDLC guidelines. Handle additional duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
Candidates should have at least 5 years work experience within the Windows desktop environment coordinating and managing large scale projects. Extensive experience with application packaging tools (ZENworks or SMS, and InstallShield preferred) and application deployment in a Windows XP environment, as well as familiarity with MS Office, MS Project and Visio are essential. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. A+, MCSE, CNA or CNE certifications are a plus. Visual Basic/vbscript and PatchLink experience are a plus.
