SENIOR SYSTEMS ANALYSTS - ITS Position is located at our Grand Rapids, MI Headquarters. Candidates outside the Grand Rapids area, will be required to relocate.The individuals selected for these positions will work with the Retail Systems team to work on the Customer Relationship Marketing (CRM) system. Candidates should be familiar with a variety of software development methodologies, concepts, practices, and procedures. Will lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Specific responsibilities include: Business and technical evaluation of technology needs to support the CRM business team Lead contributory efforts to expand the foundational CRM system with in-house development along with purchased applications and their subsequent integration Provide input into the functional design based on experience and product knowledge Lead in the technical design of software components for a variety of project deliverables. Use experience to help translate requirements into technical designs and tasks. Facilitate and assist in the task estimation process Understand business requirements and acceptance criteria for each feature and translate to technical requirements and design Responsible for ensuring analysts or offshore team write quality code that is simple, reliable and scalable along with interoperable and reusable as appropriate. May provide consultation on complex implementations and may need to code when necessary Facilitate and lead technical discussions and/or presentations Document all technical designs and deliverables for communication to development and support teams. Create project plans as needed Contribute to and enhance coding standards, best practices, and procedures. Lead and participate in code reviews of other team members to ensure adherence to coding standards and team processes and procedures Provide mentoring and leadership to less experienced analysts Ideal candidate must possess the following: BS degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Management of Information Systems or equivalent experience 3+ years experience in software development (planning, designing, coding, unit testing) using at least two of the following technologies: .NET architecture (C#, ADO.NET, Windows Forms), Java platform (Servlets, JSP, JDBC), C++, Cobol Working knowledge with large relational database management tables (DB2, SQL Server, Oracle) XML/XLST Proven analytical, planning, problem solving and decision-making skills Effective communication, professional and interpersonal skills Team player in a demanding environment Interest in the challenge, excitement, and responsibility of a fast-paced, growth environment If you have the experience described, log on to our website at www.joinmeijer.com and apply online.
