While the company is over thrity years old, it has recently undergone a change of ownership which has given it the personnel and resources to position it for significant growth. This will be a gerat opportunity for any executive to be a part of a company that is willing to take risks, add new product categories, and bolster its position as a top player in its markets.Responsibilities: 

This position reports to the President and is responsible for leading the respective merchandising organization and operations.

Effectiveness of the product management, design, and development organization, including staffing, personal development, compensation, and overall employee satisfaction Creating product lines, producing prototypes and samples, and sourcing that offer the targeted fashion and value proposition Directing the product organization and operations Maintaining and complying with the Company's supply chain calendar Preparing, coordinating, and implementing line plans Duties: Direct line management, design, and development operations to provide product lines that: Meet requirements of markets and channels Deliver the Tail brand promise Meet Company strategic and financial goals Participate with other senior executives to assure that lines, products, packaging, and pricing are consistent with branding strategy, sourcing strategy and operating plans, marketing strategy, and merchandising plans. Perform duties and responsibilities as requested by the President/CEO that are in the best interest of the Company, culture, or organization, including presenting the status and effectiveness of product management operations from time to time to the staff, Board, and visitors of the Company. Support programs for employee self-development and activities that develop culture and improve communication. Support the Company's advocacy programs. Act ethically and in the best interest of the Company and assure that ethical practices and behaviors are maintained in the organizations and operations under their direction. Accountabilities:

Meeting the Company's seasonal sales goals Meeting the Company's gross margin goals Meeting the Company's earnings goals Effectiveness of the product lines and operating plans Effective execution of the product organization Requirements: 

An ideal candidate has experience with managing the design and development of women's apparel, particularly active apparel. 7 to 10 years of experience preferred. Management experience is required along with a Bachelor's Degree.Compensation:
