Senior Manager of Sales and Promotion

JOB SUMMARY: Drive the promo process from start to finish to ensure that the promo plan is based on products, offers, and displays that will drive incremental sales and margin while meeting strategic objectives. Manage the adherence to the promotional timelines and deliverables. Responsible for driving the up front planning processes with the merchandising and inventory teams, preparing for these sessions with the GMMs to ensure that all displays being presented are seasonally appropriate and meeting minimum sales thresholds. Lead the cross-functional item presentation process through which merchants present submissions and final planning is completed, drive in-store execution of the plan, and facilitate the exit strategies. Partner with the merchandising and inventory teams in particular to drive promo productivity, feeding ideas back to the merchant group from store visits, or competitive/market reviews as well as analyzing the promo performance during and post season. Communicate the plan to the stores and home office associates. Support the development of comprehensive playbooks for seasonal launches that provide each operator with all that is needed to understand seasonal strategy and implement the plan in his/her store. Provide concise and clear additional communications to the field through MAP. Ensure that promotional plans support a promotional feel in-store and an easy customer shopping experience. Interface with Operations, Marketing, and Visual Merchandising to make sure that displays and offers will present effectively.QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree Strong product merchandising skills Strong interpersonal skills Organized Skilled communicator (both written and oral presentation) Excellent skills dealing with conflict management and negotiation
