Sr. Manager – Finance and Merchandise

 

Responsibilities:  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

§ Prepare ROI analysis on capital investments, marketing programs, merchandising programs and projects

§ Assist merchandising and marketing in the strategic planning including sales and margin forecasting.

§ Analyze sales trends between items that have recently appeared on TV and items that have not appeared on TV (off-air vs. on-air analysis)

§ Analyze trends in the various storefronts.

§ Assist merchandising in managing the clearance process (including the financial impact of these sales)

§ Identify gaps in sales and margin analysis and work with IT, Merchandising and Project Management Departments to develop effective reports.

§ Work with Site Analytics manager to analyze site specific merchandising trends.

§ Generate  budgeted and forecasted daily sales plan.

§ Assist  Finance Manager with forecast assumptions, variances, trends, risks and opportunities.

§ Identify and reconcile variances between internal reporting system and merchandising reporting system as well as reconcile variances between financial and merchandising reporting systems.

§ Assist merchandisers in the planning process and ensure that sales and margin estimates meet planning objectives.

§ Assist Finance OVP and Manager during budget process.

§ Manage Merchandise Analyst and determine new projects and areas of analysis.

§ Generate requests to R&A Department for promotion analysis and review feedback.

§ Adhoc projects as requested
Requirements:  Minimum Requirements:

·  BS/BA degree in Business, Finance or Accounting

·  8-10 years experience in Finance related occupation.

·  Strong project management skills and multi-tasking abilities

·  Strong analysis background

·  Ability to manage/supervise employees

·  Ability to develop relationships throughout the company.

·  Must demonstrate the ability to work in a fast pace environment which will require ability to adapt and quickly change to reflect the business needs of the company.

·  Strong modeling skills, Excel, Microsoft Office skills and the ability to learn internal systems

Preferred Requirements:

§  MBA/CPA
